Hwange Safari Lodge has undergone an extensive refurbishment, transforming the iconic lodge into a  destination that promises to make every guest "Feel Special." The renovations began in March, focusing on enhancing the lodge's exterior and public spaces, with the goal of maintaining its authentic safari charm while improving comfort and modern amenities.

The newly refurbished lodge now boasts 99 rooms, including 85 Deluxe Rooms, 10 Deluxe Suites, and 4 Executive Suites, each offering panoramic views of Hwange's picturesque grasslands and nearby waterhole. These waterholes are frequently visited by a variety of wildlife, including impala, wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, and elephants, providing guests with a unique safari experience from the comfort of their rooms.

The Deluxe Rooms have been equipped with comfortable beds, air conditioning, a mosquito net, work desk, television, and a cozy seating area. The more spacious Deluxe Suites include a separate lounge area, while the Executive Suites cater to business travelers, honeymooners, and VIP guests, offering a larger bathroom with a luxurious bathtub and shower, a separate bedroom, and a generous lounge that doubles as a dining area.

The lodge's common areas have also been completely revamped. The atrium, bar, restaurant, reception, and restrooms have all been redesigned to create a cohesive, immersive experience that reflects the spirit of Hwange's wilderness. A modern gym and spa have been added to cater to the growing demand for wellness experiences, allowing guests to relax and rejuvenate after a day of exploring the African bush.

Speaking on the refurbishment, African Sun CEO, Laurie Ward expressed his pride in the new look of Hwange Safari Lodge. “We are incredibly proud to unveil the new generation Hwange Safari Lodge where every guest will feel special every stay, every time. This significant investment reflects African Sun’s dedication to uplifting its properties and providing its guests with unforgettable experiences," said Ward.
