Elephant Hills Resort

Perched on a bluff just upstream from the mighty Victoria Falls, Elephant Hills Resort looks down on the placid might of the upper Zambezi River. The Resort deliberately imposes itself on the surrounding riverine bush. Its tranquil evergreen setting on the upper Zambezi River belies the might of the Victoria Falls just 3km away.

The resort boasts of an 18-hole championship golf course designed by the legendary Gary Player, the only golf course in Victoria Falls. The golf course is as popular with the wildlife as it is with golfers, as it is not uncommon for play to be interrupted while buck, warthogs or elephants exercise their right to walk on the fairways.

Elephant Hills Resort is a reputable conference venue and has successfully hosted global conferences such as CHOGM, the Solar Summit in the 90s, and recently the 20th Session of the UNWTO Assembly in 2013, Routes Africa and the 34th SADC Summit in 2014. The resort has 8 conference rooms with seating capacities ranging from 14 to 500 delegates.

Elephant Hills Resort is a large hotel but due to its service excellence, exudes an intimacy that allows each guest to enjoy meaningful moments in this unique part of the world.

As part of our post-Sanganai 2016 tour, we visited Mutare and stopped over at the African Sun Amber Hotel. We were there briefly for a site inspection and I left wishing we had spent the night. The staff was friendly and the Hotel was nice and the upstairs rooms had lovely views!

I spent one night at the Holiday Inn Bulawayo and I was impressed. I received a personalized welcome and I was acknowledged as a Platinum member. The look and feel of the Hotel is lovely. The rooms were of an international standard. I ordered room service, which was quick and efficient. The breakfast buffet was tasty and had variety. The Hotel grounds were well kept and included a pool, bar and gym. If your work takes you to Bulawayo, I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Bulawayo.

Elephant Hills has good fauna and flora. The Hotel showcases God s amazing creation, it is scenic and very exotic. It’s the perfect place for tourists that treasure nature at its best and appreciate un-polluted air. Guests can mix with animals and enjoy the sanctuary of the wilderness.
